Philippe Etienne

Philippe Etienne is the Managing Director of Securency International, a position he assumed in October 2010. Prior to this he was CEO of Orica Mining Services, the global leader in the commercial explosives industry.
Philippe started his career in the textile industry after completing a BSc in physiology and pharmacology. Over the succeeding years he completed post graduate marketing qualifications and an MBA and joined ICI's Australian operations. Over 24 years with ICI and its transition to become Orica, Philippe held a number of business management positions before joining the explosives division as global VP of Strategy and Planning then Managing Director of Orica Europe before taking on the global CEO role for this business in 2005.
In addition to his primary responsibilities, Philippe has been Chairman of joint ventures in Estonia, Kazakhstan and Turkey, a Board member of ICI India, a Board member of the Australian Government's Council on Australian Latin American Relations and a contributor to the Australian Latin American Leadership Program.
